Michael Sauschuck on Thrive 2027

Michael Sauschuck is the former Portland Police Chief, current Assistant City Manager (and nominee for Maine’s Commissioner of Public Safety). Speaking at the Portland Regional Chamber Kegs n Issues event in a talk I grabbed live on my phone, he walked through policing and substance use disorder recovery. Policing approaches to low level drug users have changed, and for the better – this is a very good review of how and why.

Also covered is the Thrive2027 collaborative organized by United Way. Get involved here.
